Description of the Sublimation Process

Images are heat transferred into this high-tech finish via a technique known as sublimation.  Not a laminate or screen printing or a decal, sublimation is a chemical printing process that locks the image on to the chemical structure of the dry-erase coating.  Printing of the image is normally done on large inkjet printer using special ink and then heat cured onto the sublimatable surface.  The result is a permanent, three-dimensional, high resolution graphic. 

For Large jobs over 1,500 pieces we can make a plate and use offset  printing for significant cost saving.

 
Magnetic Properties on MarkaSteelSub are fantastic since the thin durable Graphic dry-erase surface it on a piece of sheet steel.  Hold as much as you care to on MarkaSteelsub.

Magnetic Properties on MarkaMag - magnetic particles are impregnated in the whiteboard surface so the magnetic ability is limited to holding magnetic tape and labels-- it will not hold a heavy object even if you use a strong magnet
